Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists. As a key member of our spine center, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our physicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general nursing care to patients in the clinic, administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, preparing equipment and assisting physicians during treatment and examination of patients.
  • Record and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments to physicians, dispensing medication as directed.
  • Screen patients for reviews of patient records, charts, and other pertinent information, monitoring patients receiving IV conscious sedation safely and effectively.
  • Interact with patients and customers daily to resolve patient issues and concerns, working in partnership with physicians, physician assistants, and back-office staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist the practice manager with staffing, assigning work areas and shifts, and acting as the liaison between the clinic and partnering vendors in relation to procedure and clinical operations.
Requirements
  • RN degree, BSN preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience, clinic, and pain experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to generate creative and innovative approaches to solve problems.
