Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join our Process Innovation and Scale-Up team at ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying fluid mechanics and transport phenomena models to guide the development and design of new process technologies.

You will work collaboratively with cross-discipline teams of experts in experimentation, process engineering, and equipment design to tackle process development, scale-up, and unit design problems critical to developing new process technologies from concept ideas to commercial scale deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply fluid mechanics and transport phenomena models to guide the development and design of new process technologies
  • Work collaboratively with cross-discipline teams of experts in experimentation, process engineering, and equipment design
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in topics related to CFD to research and process engineering community
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer with a strong background in physics-based modeling, particularly in the areas of fluid dynamics and transport phenomena. You should have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant thesis work.

You should also have demonstrated experience with developing and applying models in area of fluid mechanics and transport, in areas such as multiphase modeling, granular flow, or combustion. Additionally, you should be proficient in computational languages such as Ansys Fluent or OpenFOAM, MatLab, Python, and C/C++.
