Job Title: Plumbing EIT II

At Smith Seckman Reid, we are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing EIT II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering design and consulting firm, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients with facility and infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior engineering staff in the execution of technical activities on assigned projects and learn discipline-specific technical standards and procedures.
  • Participate in technical studies, investigations, and designs on assigned projects under supervision.
  • Learn company technical standards and procedures during the execution of projects for clients.
  • Observe and learn industry standards and practices of design analyses using industry software.
  • Assist in the execution of design processes and analysis on assigned projects and requests assistance from senior design staff when needed.
  • Perform computer-based engineering calculations and system design functions.
  • Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment sales representatives to determine project scope and feasibility.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
  • Develop man-hour budgets and perform tasks in accordance with the budget.
  • Assist project team in the development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college with two years applicable experience.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and be certified EIT with a state licensure board.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific software (i.e., Trace700 and SKM).
  • Knowledge of drafting and design procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
