Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Eagle's Trace, a beautiful 70-acre continuing care retirement community in West Houston, Texas. As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs, ensuring the overall upkeep of community systems, and providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.
  • Adhere to company policy by complying with scheduled preventive maintenance procedures and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Respond to emergency calls with a sense of urgency and provide detailed information regarding tasks performed.
  • Assist in maintaining proper levels of material/supplies for the neighborhood assigned.
  • Partner with Maintenance & Engineering personnel to complete various projects or repairs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction, or maintenance.
  • Current EPA certification to handle refrigerants.
  • Working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on one's feet for long periods.
