Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively diagnose electrical service requests and provide clients with repair options.
  • Install electrical devices in both new and existing buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Implement safety and distribution components, including service panel upgrades and equipment relocation, while minimizing material waste.
  • Utilize tools such as hacksaws and conduit benders to measure, cut, thread, and assemble conduits.
  • Pull and splice wires, ensuring proper insulation and connection.
  • Connect wiring in accordance with local and NEC codes.
  • Prepare and assemble conduits for wiring connections.
  • Connect wiring to various electrical apparatus, utilizing both hand and power tools.

· Ensure the accurate installation of conduits, wires, and electrical devices as per supervisor directives.

  • Troubleshoot electrical branch circuits and feeders effectively.

· Guarantee the quality of installations by ensuring correctness from the outset.

· Document and report any discrepancies or required upgrades not included in the original work order.

· Recommend additional work necessary for further repairs.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation.
  • Exhibit proficiency with all tools and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Electrical Service Manager.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and organized service vehicle.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work.

· At least 3 years of experience in electrical service roles.

· Comprehensive knowledge of electrical applications, permits, maintenance objectives, and facility maintenance standards.

· Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.

· Familiarity with various electrical concepts, practices, and procedures, including the ability to interpret Electrical Codes and Life Safety Codes.

· Professional demeanor and appearance.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

· Basic mathematical skills and the ability to read blueprints.

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Sales experience is advantageous.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

· Proficiency in using common electrical hand tools and reading electrical drawings.

· Preferred experience in commercial electrical construction, including EMT, GRC, and MC cable.

Skills:

  • Ability to accurately identify wire colors and other necessary components.
  • Capable of bending conduit using hand tools.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of required power tools.
  • Experience operating equipment such as trenchers and aerial lifts.
  • Ability to dig trenches using hand tools or power equipment.
  • Understanding and practice of safe work procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Handbook.
  • Competence in operating two-handed tools as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have good hearing and vision (corrective measures acceptable).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and move on foot for extended periods.
  • Comfortable climbing various types of ladders.
  • Ability to perform overhead work for prolonged durations.
  • Responsible for securing tools and materials necessary for task completion.
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, and fingers.
