Job Summary

Pentec Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy IV Compounding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing intravenous admixtures and prefilled syringes under the supervision of assigned staff pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the sterile compounded medication area in accordance with USP 797 Guidelines
  • Stock the sterile compounded medication room with intravenous solutions, additives, and all other supplies utilized in the sterile compounded medication service
  • Reconstitute bulk additives and prepare sterile compounded medication utilizing proper aseptic techniques
  • Check the sterile compounded medication for clarity and no presence of particulate matter
  • Perform other job duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more per day
  • Dependable in attendance and job performance
  • Understanding of medical terminology and calculations
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
