Acp Advisornet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging Department Manager to join our team. As a critical role within our Supply Chain organization, this position requires a high level of accountability, visibility, and opportunity to directly influence plant results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of High-Quality Operations: Oversee the management of high-quality operations, ensuring that all processes are efficient and effective.
  • Building Management Team Capability: Develop and sustain a high-performance culture across the respective group of lines, collaborating across all packaging departments and functions to ensure safe and effective plant operations.
  • Creation and Sustainment of a High-Performance Culture: Foster a culture that develops a high degree of ownership from all team members, an environment of trust and openness, and a culture that delivers consistently superior results.
  • Direct Management of Team Leaders: Directly manage Team Leaders across all shifts who lead the operating teams with approximately 70-100 team members.
  • Formulation of Department Strategy: Formulate Department strategy and annual goals and objectives that align to the Plant direction (OGSM Objectives, Goals, Strategies, & Measures).
  • Achievement of Key Performance Indicators: Achieve all Key Performance Indicators on the Plant Scorecard.
  • Personal Coaching and Development: Provide personal, hands-on coaching of Department team members and operating floor associates in the principles of high-performing work systems and hold all levels accountable for implementing and maintaining them.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance for Daily Management systems to ensure high levels of quality, problem identification and resolution, productivity, and associate involvement and ownership.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify issues affecting efficiencies and assist in developing solutions.
Requirements
  • Department Management Experience: 3+ years of department management experience in a high-speed consumer products environment.
  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelors Degree within any Engineering discipline or Sciences (i.e. Biology or Chemistry) and/or military experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Significant leadership experience managing medium-size teams across various shifts.
  • Safety and Quality Experience: Strong Safety and Quality experience and focus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate a vision effectively and to enroll others in that vision.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to help associates take ownership for the business.
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices such as TPM, OEE, and the ability to utilize these tools to create and operate a high-performing culture.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced PC skills that encompass Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and ERP applications (i.e. SAP).
