Position Available for Public Works Personnel

Compensation Range: $39,047 - $62,866

Job Overview:

The role involves managing requisitions and training requests for the County, acting as a liaison between vendors, various County departments, and the public.

Key Duties:

  • Process requisitions that have received internal approval.
  • Validate and confirm the items and pricing requested.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor contracts and accurate pricing.
  • Handle payment processing, resolve discrepancies, and ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing department to assign Purchase Orders.
  • Oversee data management in the departmental database for prompt order assignments.
  • Keep requesters and vendors informed about order statuses.
  • Engage with vendors to create purchase orders and reconcile invoices.
  • Efficiently prepare and process training and travel requests.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and training/travel documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; additional coursework is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in office procedures, accounting, or customer service.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
