Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the procurement of meat products, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Source protein-based goods from authorized suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising teams to introduce new offerings.
  • Work alongside Sales Representatives to implement best practices.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through effective service.
  • Support national distribution efforts for the Barn to Butcher brand.
  • Negotiate supplier pricing to optimize profit margins.
  • Ensure all suppliers and customers are equipped with necessary quality assurance documentation and contracts.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and suppliers through excellent communication.
  • Monitor costs related to logistics and storage to inform commodity movement decisions.
  • Address customer and supplier inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving measures and margin enhancement opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity proteins.
  • A well-established network within the industry.
  • Experience in the meat sector.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement or sales (preferred).
  • Self-motivated in a competitive environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
