Job Summary

KEDPlasma USA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Substitute to join our team. As a key member of our donor care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate donor suitability for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations, adhering to DCOPs, FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Explain informed consents to donors, including the plasmapheresis procedure, hazards, and potential adverse reactions.
  • Perform physical examinations for donors and review accumulated data to confirm suitability.
  • Assist in performing plasmapheresis and whole blood procedures, ensuring donor safety and monitoring for reactions.
  • Administer immunizations and monitor responses, as necessary.
  • Provide confidential counseling to unacceptable donors and maintain the Center's emergency medical kit and equipment.
  • Review test results and consult with the Center physician on unusual, abnormal, or elevated test results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as nursing or physician assistant.
  • Excellent patient/donor assessment skills and ability to manage emergency situations.
  • Current licensure in the state where the center operates and valid medical credentials.
  • Previous work experience demonstrating adaptability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform CPR.
  • Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens and physical ability to assist in adverse donor reactions.
