Key Responsibilities

As an Operating Room Technician, you will provide exceptional, patient-focused care while assisting medical staff during surgical and invasive procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating proficiency in the skills and knowledge required for scrub technician duties in accordance with industry standards.
  • Collaborating with housekeeping and central processing teams to maintain cleanliness and organization in the operating rooms.
  • Participating in safety protocols to ensure accurate patient identification and procedure verification prior to surgery.
  • Utilizing your experience to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Conducting thorough counts of surgical instruments and materials with the circulating nurse, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Adhering to safety and security policies, including hygiene practices and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for patient care.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from a recognized organization.
  • Preferred certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
  • Completion of a surgical technologist training program or relevant experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience in an operating room setting is required.
