The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Performance Modeling and Analysis Department, you will be responsible for providing technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to execute modeling, simulation, and analysis projects using AFSIM and other engineering tools.
- Interact with Aerospace program office and government customers to understand analysis tasks and provide results.
- Use and contribute to development of in-house and commercial- and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools with a focus on AFSIM.
- Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
- 8 years' of progressively more responsible engineering experience.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to complete technical analyses as part of larger project efforts.
- Demonstrated expertise in using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
- Knowledge in one or more of these specific national security space or intelligence mission areas: killchains, space-based surveillance, spacecraft ground systems, multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques, and architecture resiliency.
- Ability to work on dynamic task assignments and adapt to changing customer expectations.
- Proficiency in astrodynamics or space operations.
- Experience with one or more software languages that may include Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- An advanced degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience modeling the space domain in AFSIM and/or integrating external tools with AFSIM.
- Knowledge of Intelligence Community or U.S. Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios.
- Current TS/SCI access.
The Aerospace Corporation offers a competitive compensation package, including a grade-based pay range of $117,300 - $175,900.
