Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Durable Medical Equipment Technician to join our team at Warrior Service Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and installing durable medical equipment, including wheelchair repairs and home access installations, to Veteran homes in the Tacoma and Seattle, WA area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and document delivery routes, conduct phone calls to schedule delivery and pick-up of durable medical equipment and supplies.
  • Locate and load durable medical equipment and supplies in the warehouse, ensuring proper securing within the vehicle.
  • Transport durable medical equipment and supplies to locations indicated on the delivery schedule.
  • Assemble and install durable medical equipment at Veteran homes.
  • Provide patient orientation and instruction on equipment use, respond to patient inquiries on equipment setup and usage.
  • Perform follow-up servicing of equipment in the field, minor repair of equipment as required.
  • Pick up, unload, and disassemble returned equipment at the warehouse.
  • Document tasks, including obtaining signatures from Veterans upon delivery, complete driver log, and vehicle pre-trip and post-trip checklists.
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfecting used equipment as needed.
  • Perform daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks on assigned vehicles, clean vehicles following use.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.
  • Prior DME delivery experience preferred.
  • Construction and/or Assembly of low voltage electrical equipment experience is a MUST.
  • 1-2 Years Low Voltage Electrical Experience required.
