  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build data pipelines from various sources using AWS big data technologies.
  • Develop and manage data dictionaries, catalogs, and governance plans to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with data consumers to provide and correlate data for business intelligence and machine learning use cases.
  • Design and implement automated solutions to minimize manual processes and improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide guidance on data stewardship to teams onboarding to central data systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data governance.
  • Experience building and operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
  • Proficiency in modern scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS technologies, including Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
  • Experience with non-relational databases and data stores, including object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a track record of building data solutions from the ground up.
  • Able to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
