Senior Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
The RN Charge Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. This position will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, implementing care plans, and administering medications as prescribed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular rounds to assess and document resident condition/changes
- Ensure implementation of care plans as directed by the Director of Nurses and/or the Administrator
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
- Conduct rounds with the physician and record visits in clinical records
- Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts
- Identify significant changes in resident condition and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures
- Oversee and monitor aides
- Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy
- Discharge residents per facility policy
- Communicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in condition
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
