Urban Development Analyst Position in Los Angeles

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team at HR&A Advisors, an employee-owned company that advises public, private, non-profit, and philanthropic clients on urban development projects.

The base salary for this position is estimated to be between $103,000 and $116,800 per year, depending on experience. This compensation package includes a discretionary year-end bonus and opportunities for growth within the company.

About the Role:

This Senior Analyst will play a key role in driving our data-driven approach to city building by owning the substance of client work products and providing expert analysis and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and qualitative skills, a passion for urban development and policy, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing cities today.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex analysis, including financial modeling and statistical analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Presentation of findings to internal executive leadership and external clients.
  • Manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously with high precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare written reports, client presentations, and proposals.
  • Manage project tasks, mentor junior staff, and take ownership of project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in complex analysis, financial modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Economics, or Public Policy. A Master's degree in Real Estate Development, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
