Electrical Operations Manager Job Description

Delta Construction Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to lead our electrical branch in San Antonio, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving minimum budgeted net profit for the branch, managing billing and collections, and prospecting for new leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve minimum budgeted net profit for branch with annual percent of at least 2 times the industry average.
  • Manage billing and collections, bill customers at least bi-monthly, and track accounts receivable to no more than 2% of sales.
  • Prospect for leads continually, provide budgets, estimate proposals, and build relationship networks to achieve a minimum of 8-10% growth in sales per year.
  • Provide overall leadership to the branch, act as a team player, and lead by example.
  • Create a plan of action to address concerns resulting from employee engagement surveys.
  • Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to direct reports.
  • Interview and hire prospective employees, manage employee job performance, and complete performance appraisals timely.
  • Facilitate decisions that are made on a weekly basis to determine what will be done and by whom.
  • Develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision.
  • Complete 1-year and long-range plans for the branch as part of the short and long-term planning process.
  • Share manpower, resources, and tools with all branches as needed.
  • Represent the company/branch within the local community and construction industry/trade organizations.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Construction Management degree or applicable other degree from a technical school or college (may be waived in the event of documented, significant work background).
  • Knowledgeable in healthcare, industrial, commercial, and service.
  • Ability to be decisive and make the best decision for the company as a whole.
  • Proven success managing risk and profitability successfully.
  • Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines.
  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity.
  • Highly customer-service oriented and a team player.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Continually searching out education experiences to grow within the company.

Preferred but Not Necessary:

  • Journeyman License or Degree.
