Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Position Summary:
- Conducts thorough assessments and manages patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Develops a comprehensive care plan in collaboration with patients and their families to optimize health outcomes.
- Authorized to prescribe medications and recommend treatments, performing procedures within the APRN scope of practice.
- Encourages patient engagement in their healthcare decisions by providing essential information and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Actively participates in a collaborative healthcare environment, working alongside colleagues to deliver holistic patient care.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions in the EPIC EMR system, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards.
- Collects and analyzes clinical data, interpreting laboratory, radiology, and pathology results to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Operates within the established scope of practice for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
- Provides health education and connects patients and families with community resources.
- Contributes to the design, implementation, and enhancement of healthcare programs and initiatives.
- Delivers care to patients participating in research studies, explaining protocols and addressing inquiries, while ensuring adherence to research guidelines.
- Facilitates the informed consent process, identifying suitable candidates for research participation and preparing necessary documentation.
- Conducts medical evaluations, applying specialized knowledge to assess patient responses to treatments and recommend appropriate actions within research frameworks.
- Ensures quality assurance in documentation and adherence to research protocols.
- Assists research coordinators in completing case report forms and serves as a resource for research-related inquiries.
- Acts as an advocate for patients, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
Compensation Range:
$90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
Essential Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing or a related health field. Must hold a valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree with specialized training as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited institution.
- Experience in an outpatient care setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HIV care is preferred.
- Experience working with both pediatric and adult populations is desirable.
