As we advance towards our next level of organizational maturity, we are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to join our team as a Production Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lean manufacturing processes aimed at minimizing waste, enhancing throughput, and reducing lead times.
  • Develop ergonomic workstation designs that prioritize operator satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Utilize tooling, automation, robotics, and material handling systems to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, engaging employees in the process.
  • Maintain productivity metrics and labor tracking systems to optimize manpower utilization and reduce costs.
  • Establish and manage standard engineering documentation, including layouts, process flow diagrams, and productivity metrics.
  • Support benchmarking efforts across plants to identify and share best practices.
  • Assist in capacity planning and product allocation adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Design Engineering to explore Design for Manufacturing opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software, particularly AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement practices.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to 15% as project demands dictate.
