Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled LPN to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to donors and ensuring the highest level of safety and quality in our plasma donation process.

Responsibilities:
  • Select suitable plasmapheresis donors by performing physical examinations and taking medical histories
  • Review accumulated data to confirm donor suitability and document acceptance or rejection
  • Assist with management and administration of donor counseling, testing, and follow-up of employee exposures to blood or plasma
  • Provide appropriate and confidential counseling to unacceptable donors
  • Provide level of care during unusual and moderate to severe donor reactions
  • Assist in employee training as necessary
  • Consult with Medical/Laboratory Director as required by company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Current nursing (LPN) license in good standing for the state applying for
  • Current CPR, BLS certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associates, bachelors degree, or above (must provide documentation)
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Phlebotomy experience a plus
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations (Microsoft Word)
  • Legible handwriting
  • Customer service skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
  • Read computer screens, procedure manuals and other documents
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Hear doorbells, alarms, telephone, and other mechanical devices
  • Work confidently while being observed during frequent quality inspections
  • Work in walk-in - Subzero freezer(s)
  • Ability to lift, pull, tug up to 50 pounds to stock supplies and/or move or support donors
