Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Oiler to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Heavy Equipment Oiler, you will be responsible for performing daily fueling and lube services, operational checks, and minor preventive maintenance services on a variety of heavy construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled fueling and lubrication services to all field equipment and construction machinery.
  • Complete preventative maintenance work orders on a wide variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, scrapers, dozers, and excavators.
  • Inspect equipment and report problems.
  • Occasionally assist heavy equipment mechanics with the replacement of defective or worn parts.
  • Maintain accurate truck and equipment inspection and service logs on a daily basis and in accordance with DOT requirements.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT rules and regulations.
  • Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in regard to disposal and waste.
  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities, or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.

Requirements

  • Able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all required tools.
  • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.

Qualifications

  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
