About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our Powell Automation Division (PAD). As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with diverse professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation solutions for our clients, utilizing your expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and commission automation systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders, including after-sales support and training.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying your knowledge to improve our products and services.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation, including functional design, drawings, and test documentation, in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in automation and control systems, protective relay programming, and PLC applications.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas: automation and control systems, protective relay programming, or PLC applications for switchgear.
  • Experience with common industrial protocols, such as Modbus, IEC61850, and DNP3.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase power and experience configuring, testing, and commissioning relays.
