Clinical Staff Pharmacist

The clinical staff pharmacist plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal clinical care of patients at McLean Hospital. This includes assessing, verifying, dispensing, labeling, storing, recording, and using pharmaceutical preparations for patients in the acute and residential/partial psychiatric setting. The team member collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, taking into account patient-specific factors and general medicine aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Participate in clinical initiatives, inventory management, educational activities, and hospital/department committees to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff while completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Residency experience is preferred, and Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or Psychiatry is also preferred.
- License: Current unrestricted pharmacy licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Work Schedule: Rotating shift including weekends, holidays, and on-call.
