About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Landscape Laborer to join our team at Highlands Landscaping And Fencing. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance and installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laying Sod: Ensure a lush and even lawn by laying sod in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Trimming, Planting, and Mulching: Maintain the beauty and health of our clients' landscapes by trimming, planting, and mulching as needed.
  • Laying Rock: Install rock features and patios to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our clients' outdoor spaces.
  • Installing Retaining Walls: Construct retaining walls to prevent soil erosion and create visually appealing landscape features.
  • Digs, and Rakes Grass and/Ground: Prepare soil and ground surfaces for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Performs Sprinkler Installation: Install and maintain sprinkler systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes.
  • Drives a Company truck: Safely operate a company vehicle to transport equipment and personnel as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management: Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Continually required to stand: Spend most of the workday on your feet, moving around the job site.
  • Continually required to walk: Walk extensively throughout the job site to perform tasks and inspect work.
  • Occasionally/ required to sit: Take short breaks to rest and recharge.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity: Use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl: Perform physical tasks that require climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
  • Continually required to talk or hear: Communicate with colleagues and supervisors throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally required to taste or smell: Taste and smell as needed to ensure quality of work.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather): Work in environments with high humidity and moisture levels.
  • Continually work near moving mechanical parts: Operate and maintain equipment and machinery.
  • Occasionally work in precarious places: Work at heights or in other challenging environments.
  • Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals: Be exposed to chemicals and particles in the work environment.
  • Continuous exposure to outside weather conditions: Work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud: Work in environments with high noise levels.
  • The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 80 pounds: Lift and move heavy objects and equipment as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus: Have good eyesight and be able to see clearly at various distances.

Job Type

This is a Full-time position.

Salary

The salary for this position is $16.00 to $18.00 /hour.
