Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a CST, you will play a vital role in preparing surgical procedures for physicians and surgical staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surgical procedures for physicians and surgical staff
  • Comply with safety policies and recognize breaks in aseptic technique
  • Perform equipment checks for proper functionality and review/update surgeon preference cards
  • Gown and glove yourself and other members of the team
  • Anticipate and prioritize surgeon needs and independently manage instrument, sponge, and sharp counts for all procedures
Requirements
  • One year of scrub experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the NCCT
  • Active LPN license accepted in lieu of CST/TS-C certifications
  • Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network
