The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a vital role in the UCLA Health system, overseeing education, competency, and professional development for Perinatal nursing staff.

Key responsibilities include delivering clinician and professional development, promoting excellence in patient care through evidence-based nursing practice and clinical inquiry.

Collaboration with nursing leadership is essential to deliver educational programs and secure resources based on needs assessments and adult learning theory.

The CNE will work across both the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Centers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current CA RN license
  • BSN, MSN in Nursing Education/Education, or commitment to MSN in Nursing Education
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing professional development practices and issues
  • 3 years of recent acute care experience
  • High-Risk Labor and Delivery experience highly desired
  • 5 years of recent perinatal experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing positive working relationships with nursing staff and leadership
