Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management: Provision, install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
  • Technical Support: Deliver technical guidance and hands-on support for planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.
  • Research and Development: Engage in technical research and development to foster infrastructure innovation.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans, and results.
  • Storage Technology Support: Provide administrative and technical support for current and future storage technologies.
  • Backup Operations: Manage and execute backup and restoration processes across various systems.
  • Storage Administration: Administer storage arrays, LUN/volume management, fiber switch administration, and data migrations.
  • Cloud Administration: Support cloud tier administration and participate in pilot projects and proofs of concept.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure security measures are implemented and provide 24/7 on-call support in a rotating schedule.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow DoD/DLA Information Operations policies and processes for information assurance.
Essential Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in systems administration and storage management, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) management.
  • Hierarchical Storage Management: Over 5 years of experience managing enterprise hierarchical storage systems and backup services.
  • Cloud Services: At least 2 years of experience with Azure Recovery Services.
  • IT Systems Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) IT systems.
  • Security Clearance: SECRET Clearance is mandatory, along with IAT-II certification.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required to meet security clearance requirements.
Additional Information
  • Work Environment: Office setting with low noise levels.
  • Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, with potential evening and weekend work.
  • Travel: Less than 25% required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, and kneeling.
