Civil Engineer - Public Works Job Description

Halff is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Public Works to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our Public Works team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of public and private infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage design and plan production for public and private infrastructure projects
  • Supervise technical staff and manage clients through workshare opportunities
  • Oversee the design and construction of roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, and civil site work
  • Collaborate with various practices and offices at Halff to achieve project goals
  • Value and participate in professional organizations that benefit the Public Works Industry
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design
  • Strong design experience and project manager skills
  • Experience in MicroStation or AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, self-directed, and a team player with a focus on quality, integrity, and success
