Overview:
The Facilities Department is committed to delivering exceptional service to a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students. We are seeking applications for a full-time Float Custodian position, which entails a 40-hour work week, year-round commitment. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with potential adjustments based on departmental needs, including rotating on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of a Custodial Supervisor, the Float Team will be responsible for:
1. Conducting daily custodial operations across various campus facilities.
2. Performing general cleaning and light maintenance tasks.
3. Managing snow removal during winter months.
4. Assisting with event setup and breakdown.
5. Ensuring proper care of carpets and flooring.
6. Making beds during the summer conference season.
7. Undertaking additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in custodial services is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, engaging effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, demonstrating integrity in all interactions.
- Capacity to follow established protocols as outlined in operating manuals and safety regulations regarding equipment and chemical usage.
- Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment and sanitizing dispensing units.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds with assistance), stand for extended periods, work on ladders, and utilize personal protective equipment.
- Experience in general cleaning, maintenance, and floor care is desirable.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Flexibility in work hours and willingness to work occasional overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
