Cultivation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cultivation Technician to join our team at GreenThumb. As a key member of our cultivation team, you will be responsible for providing expert care and maintenance to our cannabis plants, ensuring they thrive in a controlled environment.

• Plant Life
  • Topping and bottoming plants to promote healthy growth
  • Transplanting and defoliating plants to optimize yields
  • Tending to various types of media to maintain optimal growing conditions
  • Scouting for disease or potential insects to prevent infestations
  • Training plants to maximize growth and productivity
  • Adhering to national grow models and standards
• Harvest
  • Preparing the room for harvest, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment
  • Harvesting and taking down plants, including defoliation and breaking down into smaller pieces
  • Hanging plants on dry racks for curing
  • Cleaning both dry and flower rooms between harvests
• Sanitation
  • Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning all areas of the facility
  • Cleaning plant housing devices and equipment
  • Maintaining and cleaning plant tables and pots
  • Reporting any issues to management to ensure timely fixes

• Being aware of hazards in the workspace and reporting any concerns
• Retaining and understanding department-specific training
• Reporting safety incidents and complying with follow-up actions
• Complying with area safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE requirements
• Following GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, or other quality and compliance requirements
• Performing record keeping accurately and completely as directed
• Maintaining and calibrating tools, equipment, and machinery as directed
• Reporting and escalating safety and quality concerns

• Working in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Ability to work at heights using catwalk platforms, ladders, platform ladders, and scaffolds
• Exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred; Associate degree or certifications preferred

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must possess valid state ID
• Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements in the cannabis industry
