Job Summary

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes. As a Registered Nurse with Aveanna, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one patient care in a home environment, executing physicians' prescribed plans of care and documenting care provided in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies, as well as conduct patient assessments and coordinate care.
  • Teach patients and their families about disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies to promote health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Ability to sit and climb stairs.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Strong sense of smell and touch.
Work Environment
  • Ability to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
