Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Lead Structural Engineer specializing in bridge projects within our expanding Transportation Engineering Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide technical guidance for medium to large-scale projects.
- Manage technical client relationships and play a pivotal role in business development.
- Lead departmental initiatives to enhance technical capabilities.
- Offer specialized technical insights for studies and designs in your area of expertise.
- Review and approve project deliverables.
- Act as a leader in one or more technological domains.
- Provide estimates for engineering budgets and timelines for complex projects.
As part of this team, you will engage professionally with colleagues across various levels and disciplines.

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Over 10 years of experience in bridge design.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in technical report writing.
Strong structural problem-solving abilities, including familiarity with design and calculation tools and software.
In-depth knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes.
Familiarity with current structural modeling software tools.
A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
