Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, and managing all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and consulting with the Project Manager.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reporting schedule performance for project tasks.
  • Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates as needed.
  • Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests, and assisting in design and expediting of project.
  • Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
  • Controls project costs by reviewing cost implications with the Project Manager.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data. Excel & Access expertise a plus.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Skilled in time management, prioritizing, and managing changing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Rotating Equipment Industry is required.
  • Exposure to Marine industry & class societies is highly desired.
  • A work permit is required for this job.
  • Advance skills in MS Office and Project suites are required.
  • Experience with large manufacturing sites or construction facilities is preferred.
  • Time management and Organization skills.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Salary Range:

$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
