Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Family Medicine Physician with or without Obstetrics, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient-Centered Care: Deliver high-level, patient-centered care in the discipline of Family Medicine, with a focus on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Lead Healthcare Team: Collaborate with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and prescribe or administer medications as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans and progress.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based medicine to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree: Possess a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Certification: Be certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or Board eligible.
  • Licensure: Hold current medical licensure issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Experience: Possess prior experience in clinical medicine as a Family Physician, with a minimum of three years of clinical patient care experience as a specialist in Family Medicine.

  • Leadership Experience: Possess leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading healthcare teams and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
