Floor Maintenance Specialist

FutureCare is seeking a skilled Floor Tech to join our facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This includes operating designated floor equipment, utilizing automated floor cleaning equipment, and performing maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
Responsibilities:
Operate designated floor equipment, including auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors, and other mechanical machines daily or as needed.
Utilize automated floor cleaning equipment according to schedule for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types, including cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
Clean, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors, using various tools, equipment, and cleaning materials.
Clean identified or assigned areas/spaces with required cleaners and disinfecting solutions.
Assist in cleaning common areas and remove trash from assigned areas.
Promptly report all maintenance problems and adhere to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions.
Requirements:
High School education or GED.
Ability to operate floor care equipment, such as buffers, burnishers, wet vac, and auto scrubbers.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and write, such as to read labels on cleaning and detergent materials, disinfecting solutions.
Ability to interact and/or work with staff members, family members, and visitors in a respectful and courteous manner.
Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, or otherwise move about the facility on a continuous basis.
