Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial dishwashing machinery efficiently.
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Sort and properly stack clean dishes, ensuring they are stored in designated areas.
  • Regularly empty and clean trash receptacles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Follow food handling and storage guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
