Job Summary:

Mediacom Communications is seeking a skilled Fiber Installation Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Installation Technician, you will be responsible for performing aerial construction and coax splicing in accordance with industry codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install cables in compliance with company specifications and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and handle tools and equipment responsibly
  • Perform aerial construction and coax splicing in accordance with industry codes and safety regulations
  • Read system prints and understand basic CATV design
  • Install cables in compliance with company specifications and regulations
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions within safety constraints

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade school training preferred
  • Valid Driver's license; satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT Physical
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Physical Demands:

  • Physical effort represented by frequent handling of heavy objects and materials, or heavy hand tools
