Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified English Instructor to join our team at Truckee Meadows Community College. As a Part-Time Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in English, including composition and literature. If you are a motivated and experienced educator with a passion for teaching, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English courses, including composition and literature, to students at Truckee Meadows Community College.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Stay current in your teaching field by attending professional development workshops and staying up-to-date on best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessments.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in English, Literature, Rhetoric, or Composition, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience teaching English courses at the community college level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching and learning.
