As a Culinary Specialist, your role will be pivotal in enhancing the dining experience for our residents by preparing nutritious and appealing meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation: Review menus and production orders to assess food and supply needs. Prepare ingredients using proper techniques.
  • Food Production: Coordinate food preparation with meal schedules to ensure quality and presentation. Follow standard recipes and adjust as necessary.
  • Plating and Presentation: Supervise tray line service to ensure proper presentation and portion sizes. Monitor food temperatures prior to service.
  • Food Handling: Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards. Properly store food items and maintain safe food handling practices.
  • Daily Cleaning and Sanitation: Keep food preparation areas clean and organized. Perform daily cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
  • Weekly Cleaning and Equipment Maintenance: Conduct thorough cleaning of kitchen areas and maintain equipment functionality.
  • Accountability: Maintain production records and minimize food waste. Ensure compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Serv Safe Certification required.
  • Two years of experience in food preparation or related fields.
