Position Overview:
Memorial Hermann Health System is in search of a dedicated Imaging Services Technologist to support our Imaging Department.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves assisting licensed technologists in executing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring a high standard of patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting all facets of diagnostic imaging under the supervision of a certified technologist.
- Communicating effectively with team members regarding patient requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Maintaining adequate inventory of supplies across all imaging suites.
- Adhering to established work protocols and regulatory standards.
- Performing additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR with AED certification required within 30 days of employment.
Experience:
Minimum of one year in a healthcare setting or currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Windows and email usage are essential.
Core Competencies:
Ability to comprehend written instructions and perform basic math calculations. Demonstrated skills relevant to the assigned specialty area.
Accountabilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service and perform direct and indirect patient care competently, under the guidance of a Radiology Technologist. Responsibilities include:
- Documenting patient care accurately in medical records.
- Assisting in meeting the educational needs of patients and families.
- Coordinating diagnostic testing schedules and entering physician orders via computer.
- Maintaining proper stock of linens and medical supplies.
- Providing support with technical matters related to PACS and RadNet systems.
Uphold safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors while complying with all organizational policies and procedures. Promote professional development through ongoing education and competency requirements.
