Title: Animation Academic Support Tutor
Employment Type: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Flexible, up to 12 hours per week
Compensation: $20.31 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Role Summary:
This position involves providing tutoring services to students enrolled in the Animation Program. The role will be conducted on the main campus, offering support for up to 12 hours weekly.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma along with completion of at least one year of relevant collegiate coursework in Animation.
- Strong communication abilities, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Capability to articulate concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, in individual or small group settings.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in managing appointments and maintaining records using designated software.
- Skill in making learning engaging, with sessions tailored to student inquiries and feedback.
- Experience with Autodesk Maya and Adobe Suite is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in training or teaching roles.
- Experience in the animation industry, whether commercial or independent.
- Familiarity with Toonboom software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring support through various formats, including drop-in sessions, scheduled appointments, and semester-long tutoring, both online and in-person, fostering positive relationships with students.
- Guide students to appropriate resources within the academic support center and beyond, in consultation with supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with privacy regulations, keeping relevant staff informed about student progress and challenges.
- Assist in the daily operations of the center, including front desk duties, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
- Support students with technology-related issues that may affect tutoring sessions.
- Utilize scheduling systems effectively to manage tutoring appointments.
- Engage in mandatory training sessions and additional professional development opportunities as required.
