Position Overview

As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a secure and effective aircraft handling process by providing guidance, coordination, and hands-on support during each operation. Your role will involve ensuring that all tasks carried out by your team are executed in the most efficient and professional manner. This includes, but is not limited to: the loading and unloading of aircraft, vehicles, and freight/mail containers (ULDs/APCs, etc.). You will also be responsible for the build-up, break-down, and sorting of freight, mail, and baggage as necessary, while ensuring the safe and proper acceptance, handling, and transfer of these items.

It is essential to maintain the security and integrity of all freight, mail, and baggage. You will provide accurate marshalling signals for aircraft and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations as directed. Effective communication in English is required, utilizing ground-to-ground and air-to-ground radios and telephones as needed. You will verify correct weights and destination/origination labels, and ensure the safe operation of GSE and other equipment as per training and certification.

In addition, you will service and support customer aircraft, which may include cabin cleaning, lavatory/water service, and deicing. You will also be tasked with cleaning and maintaining GSE, ramps, warehouses, bathrooms, offices, and facilities as directed. Your responsibilities will include the safe positioning and towing of aircraft, holding all subordinate employees accountable for adherence to policies, regulations, and directives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in all required meetings and complete training and certification as mandated by WFS, customers, airports, and relevant government agencies.
  • Follow all airport and facility regulations regarding security and identification procedures, including escort responsibilities.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, methods, and procedures required by WFS, customers, airports, and applicable government agencies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance; failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  • Be available to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
