About the Role:

The Blood Bank of Delmarva is seeking a skilled Blood Collection Technician to join our mobile team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting donor interviews, collecting blood samples, and providing exceptional customer service to our donors.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct donor interviews in a confidential and professional manner to determine donor eligibility according to Blood Bank of Delmarva standards.
  • Initiate whole blood collection/phlebotomy procedures and monitor the donor's progress, according to Blood Bank of Delmarva collection guidelines.
  • Prepare for donor interviews and blood collection by ensuring that interview materials and phlebotomy equipment and supplies are set up and/or operable in keeping with Quality Control standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of successfully managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Phlebotomy training is a plus
