As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting MRI procedures to obtain high-quality images of internal body structures. This role requires operating MRI machinery with accuracy in positioning and image capture while prioritizing patient safety. You will work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to assess and interpret images for precise diagnostics. Your responsibilities will also include delivering outstanding patient care by explaining procedures, addressing inquiries, and alleviating concerns. Additionally, you will maintain and perform troubleshooting on MRI equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Accurate record-keeping is also essential, as you will need to record patient details and imaging outcomes in electronic medical records. This role requires adherence to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control and equipment safety measures. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or MRI, with prior experience as an MRI Technologist preferred. Certification as an MRI Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a comparable credential is also required. State licensure, if required, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also necessary.
