This position is responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical research trials, including developing and implementing trial protocols, selecting patients, and monitoring study progress. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical research trial protocols
- Select patients for clinical trials and establish patient/coordinator relationships
- Monitor study progress and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation for assigned studies
- Present study information to Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other departments
- Schedule and conduct study-specific training for research staff and ancillary departments
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current registration with the State of Michigan Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certificate of completion for CITI training or willingness to obtain certification
- One year nursing experience related to the duties of the position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
- BLS certification
- Experience conducting single/multicenter clinical trials, human subject research, or similar activities
