As a vital member of our healthcare team, the MRI Technologist is responsible for producing detailed cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation using advanced magnetic resonance imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Accurately positions patients on the examination table and applies the appropriate coil, such as a head or knee coil, in accordance with the protocols established by the Radiologist.
2. Facilitates communication between the patient and the technologist by utilizing a microphone system during the imaging process. 3.Inputs essential data, including patient history, targeted anatomical areas for scanning, specified orientations, and entry positions into the MRI system, ensuring precision and accuracy.
4. Operates the MRI equipment by entering commands to define scan sequences and adjusting the necessary transmitters and receivers. 5. Monitors patient safety and comfort by observing them through the control room window and via closed-circuit television. 6. Evaluates the quality of scanned images on a video display to ensure diagnostic standards are met. 7. Utilizes the camera's keyboard to capture images as required. 8. Informs staff entering the magnet room about the risks associated with metal objects near the MRI equipment. 9. Undertakes additional related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Radiography or a related discipline is required. 2.
Must possess a valid State RT License, MR Certification, and BLS certification.
