Job Summary

Wisconsin Building Supply, a leading provider of building materials, is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler I to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling truss components, stocking materials, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Truss Assembly: Assemble truss components under the direction of line leaders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Material Management: Stock lumber, plates, and other work-related materials and supplies, maintaining a well-organized work environment.
  • Product Preparation: Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets, both inside and outside.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining accurate records.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and accuracy, adhering to established standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Prior carpentry experience is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Ability to read a tape measure, use a hammer, and operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
  • Physical Demands: Exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Dusty and noisy environment when operating woodworking machines and tools.
