Truss Assembler Job Description

Wisconsin Building Supply, a leading provider of building materials, is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler to join our team. As a Truss Assembler, you will play a critical role in assembling truss components, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock lumber, plates, and other work-related materials and supplies.
  • Assemble truss components under the direction of line leaders.
  • Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
  • Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes, plate gauges, girder truss nailing, and bolt patterns.
  • Monitor production workflow process and assist other areas as needed.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and regulations and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior carpentry experience is helpful.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
  • Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
  • Physical demands include exposure to extreme temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Wisconsin Building Supply operates locations throughout Wisconsin, supplying a wide range of building materials to construction professionals. As a Truss Assembler, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.

We offer competitive pay rates, including $22.00/hour for inside work and $22.75/hour for outside work. We also offer opportunities for overtime and professional development.
