Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and updating medical records
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs
- Assist with casting and splinting, as well as other patient care activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience or completion of a medical assistant program enabling certification within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare professionals required at time of hire
This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with potential exposure to diseases or infections, noise levels, and very hot or cold temperatures. The ability to lift, move, and load 20-30 pounds is also required.
