Salary
The salary range for this position is $107,300 - $160,900 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
This DevSecOps position is part of a 100% Agile development environment focused on building security into ground segment and mission application software. As a Cyber Software Security Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our software systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing remediation measures. You will work closely with software development scrum teams to advise on secure coding practices, security-focused engineering trade studies, and other security best practices.

Key responsibilities include:
* Working as an independent, technical contributor in an Agile engineering environment
* Identifying and prioritizing security requirements
* Triage of Static Code Analysis (SCA) tool findings
* Allocating findings as technical debt in the SwDLC backlog
* Advising software development scrum teams on secure coding practices
* Conducting system vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch management activities
* Adjudicating security tool findings by working with software developers, systems engineers, and other engineering disciplines

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or equivalent experience
* 5 years of experience in IT security, or equivalent experience
* U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI access
* CISSP certification
* Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and milestones
* Understanding of the requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation process
